Just do not let them pull on the canopy because the fabric will rip. My daughter loved her princess bed, but shortly after having it she pulled at the canopy and the fabric ripped. You do not have to have the canopy on for the bed to be functionable. I will say to make sure you read the directions carefully to create a sturdy bed. The canopy never hangs straight, gets easily bent and if you need to remove it (like in the middle of the night) you have to take the bed posts apart with tools or risk having scary sharp posts sticking up. I have twin girls and both asked for the canopy to be removed within a couple nights.Tip - Hold onto the stickers and put them on as a reward for sleeping in the bed. I put the foot rail sticker on after the first night they stayed in and the princesses at the headboard after the 2nd night saying the princesses were so proud of her. Great motivation. |
